This work marked a departure, for me, from photojournalism to photography
as an art form. The pictures started to explore time and place in photography
and questioned the relationship of the human presence to a photograph.
By printing adjacently exposed frames side-by-side and exhibiting them
as one entity I was suggesting that all is never as it seems in a photograph
- the creation of a photograph is deliberate and the process is one of
constant editing.
