March 2005 - Yala Junction Fisheries Society, Tissamaharma.
Located in an area almost totally dependent on the fishing industry, the members of this society were provided with materials and tools to repair their fleet of small family owned vessels. Using USAID supplied plastic sheeting, to cover the workshop, the repair yard was quickly established and work began immediately to regenerate the communities livelihood.
