mat made from spun cocoanut husk rope. In Matara district Coir (cocoanut)
rope making projects have been identified by GOAL as a viable livelihoods
project. The cocoanut husk has many uses and can be spun to make mats
and baskets as well as rope. Individuals and family based businesses
have been provided with rope making equipment. |
