May 2005 - A Sri Lankan family outside their new temporary shelter
in Kirinda, Hambantota District. This design has a cement floor, a porch
area at front and the interior is divided into three rooms. The couple
was also given a rope making machine and a bicycle to help them earn
a living (it can be seen on left of picture). GOAL is the leading agency
for temporary shelter construction in Hambantota District and is constructing
300 shelter units benefiting approximately 1,200 people.
