Pádraig Grant's WEXFORD - Book 3 - 1987 to 2006
This is part three in my Wexford series of books. Every photo here was taken on film and developed in my darkroom; my labour of love. Opening negative files from the 1980s, 90s and early 2000s transports me back and I realise that people are older or gone, buildings altered or gone, and everyday things have changed. Mobile phones and computers existed then but were not commonplace.
Still, I walk Wexford’s old streets again, meet old friends, and wait at familiar corners for small everyday dramas that reveal grand truths about the world.
This is the past — my past. All that we are, were, and will be.
